This cedar box was originally designed for "Roadmen" who conduct traditional indigenous tipi ceremonies. It was designed to carry feathers, shakers, eagle bone whistles and other ceremonial paraphernalia.
The box is made from western red cedar locally harvested here in North Vancouver Island, British Columbia. The half-tray inside is made from a sustainably harvested Douglas fir that is estimated to have live around 700 years.
